I am writing this letter of recommendation to make you aware of the exceptional experience that I had working with Aaron Dickinson of Carbon Theory Metalcraft. I was referred to him by a retail fireplace store after the manager realized that they could not offer a product to meet my needs.

I called Aaron and he came to my home, listened intently to my objective and immediately described a very creative solution. As I was having trouble visualizing his recommendation, he cleverly devised a mockup of the fireplace surround that he was recommending using tin foil. By taking this approach, I could literally see his solution and was so pleased, I immediately agreed to go forward with his recommended custom design.

When I asked if it was possible to use a different finish, he took the initiative to go to another vendor to secure a sample of the requested finish and presented me with this alternative.  After reviewing the alternative finishes, I decided upon his original proposal.

After Aaron came back to my home to test fit the fireplace surround, I asked whether it was possible for him to come up with a solution that addressed a gap at the lower opening of the surround and the glass of the fireplace. He looked at the issue and immediately proposed making a vented grill to fill the gap at no additional cost. It is perfect and completes the custom product beautifully.

Aaron finished the custom product in a very timely fashion. He arrived on time, worked efficiently, was very organized and neat when working in my home.

His finished product is exactly what I wanted, meets my objective of a clean and modern look and is now the focal point of my living room. I am very pleased.  Without any hesitation or reservations, would hire him again and highly recommend him for any future projects.

We could not be happier with the work Aaron did for us on our courtyard gate. All we knew at the time was that we wanted a gate. We had no idea what we wanted it to look like so we asked Aaron to give us some ideas. After walking through our house and talking to us to get an idea on what we liked he went to town and hit it out of the park. The craftsmanship is second to none and it is a true piece of art that is functioning as a court yard gate. Aaron did a great job keeping us informed as well, I feel these days it’s hard to find folks that know what true customer service is. Not the case here, Aaron kept us involved the entire way, he offered to pick out the wood but suggested we may have a little more fun doing that ourselves so we did, then he made suggestions on the ways he could refinish / preserve the barn wood. He even went so far as to finish a few pieces to give us a much better idea on which route to go. We had also been on the search for off the shelf handles when Aaron said he will just design and build some. What he came up with was better than anything we had looked at anywhere.

Aaron just recently completed a custom fence project on my house and I can’t even put into words how awesome it came out. I have no real “artistic” vision and let him kind of freestyle the piece….couldn’t be happier.
